Welcome to Planted Comfort, a Food Blog!
About Planted Comfort:
Welcome to Planted Comfort, a Food Blog! We’re a couple of 20-somethings with a passion for making and sharing great food with our family and friends. As my sister once said, “These guys make water into wine with the food they make!”, which we take as the highest form of compliment. If you want to see more, make sure you follow us on Instagram and Pinterest (and subscribe to our email list once it’s out!)
What to Expect:
We have so many recipes that we rely on and are so excited to share them! Recipes you can expect to see on our blog in the coming weeks:
- Healthy Energy Bites
- World’s best Chana Masala
- Vegan Instant Ramen
- Butternut Squash “Cheese” Ravioli with Browned Butter Sage Kale Pesto
- Mock Chicken and Dumpling Soup
- Instant Oatmeal Meal Prep
- Chocolate Banana Nice Cream
We have so many ideas for where this blog will go and could not be more excited to share our food with you.. which leads me in to my next point…
Recipes In Development:
The above recipes I mentioned have all been developed and written down, we just have to write and publish blog posts for them (more work than it sounds!). However, we have a whole equally exciting list of recipes that are in development:
- Sweet potato peanut curry
- Moroccan spiced vegetables
- Assorted cookies
- Freezer smoothie bags
and most exciting…
We’re developing recipes on how to make and meal prep (and for most, veganize) all of the Trader Joe’s freezer meals. We love them all… from the sweet potato gnocchi to the spring rolls to the ravioli!! However, they’re not the cheapest; we can do better.
We want to hear from you what you want! Have a favorite freezer dinner you love so much but would rather recreate? Tell us!
Building a Food Blog
You may ask “why are you telling me about what is going to be here instead of just waiting to launch until it’s all here??”
That leads me into my last point.
Before creating this blog, I was OBSESSED with blogs that showed their growth and their monthly stats. But, they were all developed blogs that were getting millions of hits, it just didn’t feel relevant.
We want to show you how our blog is growing, what we’re doing to grow it, and realistically, how fast this growth happens.
I anticipate I will be posting months of “this month we got 10 hits and $.01 on ad revenue” posts, but that it what I want to see. I want to see the reality of creating a food blog.
In addition to getting access to a bunch of yummy recipes, you’re also finding a blog, that is growing in real time. Starting in January of 2020, by two people who do not have a lot of experience in blogging, just food (bear with us).
In the meantime, please follow us on Pinterest and Instagram to be notified when we post! (We will set up an email list soon, for now we’re overwhelmed with our other functions of a blog.)
